Originally from Bellingham, WA, Emily Pesavento (formerly Reppun) studied horn at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts under the instruction of Dale Clevenger and Alice Render.
In 2023, Emily has performed as a substitute and extra with the LA Philharmonic, LA Chamber Orchestra and Pacific Symphony, and was principal horn for The Lion King and Les Miserables at the Hollywood Pantages Theater. She has also previously performed with the San Francisco Symphony and San Diego Symphony. Her recent recording work includesTransformers 7, Haunted Mansion, Avatar 2: The Way of Water, Fool’s Paradise, Hocus Pocus 2, Black Adam, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Strange New World, Star Trek: Discovery, Superman & Lois, American Dad, The Orville, Family Guy and Ahsoka.
She has accompanied Seth MacFarlane (as solo horn), Rihanna, Kanye West, John Legend, Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Williams, Billy Idol, The Beach Boys, Paul Shaffer, Patti LaBelle, Frankie Valli, Winona Judd, Il Divo, Leslie Odom Jr, Rick Springfield, and performed for a number of onscreen productions including "The Voice" and “American Idol.” Emily has been fortunate to perform several times for John Williams, including the opening of Universal Studios: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with the LA Phil, “Maestro of the Movies” with the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl in 2022 and “Star Wars Celebration” with the Pacific Symphony in 2022. She also joined the LA Phil and Gustavo Dudamel on the 2019 tour of Mexico City, London, Boston and New York.
Emily performs on a 1976 S.W. Lewis horn and a 1966 Conn 8D H Series, as well as Wagner Tuba.
